Native Kobo firmware
Import from your Kobo device

Plug in your Kobo via USB and select the database file directly — no exporting needed. Works with all books including sideloaded and library titles.

Connect your Kobo via USB, then select KoboReader.sqlite from the .kobo folder.

Mac: Cmd+Shift+. to show hidden files · Windows: enable "Show hidden items"

Sync directly from your device

Install the Luminaria plugin for KOReader and sync your highlights wirelessly — no file transfers needed. Manual sync is free. Automatic WiFi sync requires a subscription.

  1. Get a free token at luminaria.uk/signup — just your email, no password
  2. Install the Luminaria KOReader plugin on your device
  3. Link your device using a 6-digit code from luminaria.uk/link
  4. Tap Menu → Tools → Luminaria Sync → Sync highlights now
  5. Return here and enter your token to load your highlights
